Welcome to Refiner's home away from home.  Here you can learn about my recent move and the experiences related to that move.

I am originally from the southwestern area of Washington State, where it is green throughout the year and most people think that it always rains.  However, that is not true.  Southwest Washington does receive a fair amount of sunshine throughout the year.  Climate is moderate and ranges from a few degrees below freezing with some snow in the winter to temperatures in the 90s during the summer.

I  moved to Houston, Texas in May 2011.  Temperatures here are already in the 90s, and the humidity is always high due to the city's proximity to the Gulf of Mexico.
